Experiencing sync issues? This guide covers the most common problems and their solutions. Most sync issues can be resolved in just a few steps.

Quick Fixes

Before diving into specific issues, try these quick fixes:

  1. Force quit and reopen the app
  2. Check your internet connection - Sync requires network access
  3. Update to the latest version of Iridium
  4. Restart your device if issues persist

Apple Health Sync

Workouts Not Appearing in Health

If your Iridium workouts aren't showing in Apple Health:

  1. Open Settings > Privacy & Security > Health
  2. Tap Iridium
  3. Ensure Workouts is toggled ON
  4. Toggle it OFF, wait 5 seconds, then ON again

Health Data Not Importing

If data from other apps isn't appearing in Iridium:

  1. Go to Iridium Settings > Integrations > Apple Health
  2. Tap Re-sync Health Data
  3. Select the date range to import

Duplicate Workouts

Seeing duplicate entries? This usually happens when:

  • Both apps write to Health simultaneously
  • You've re-synced data multiple times

To fix:

  1. Open the Health app
  2. Navigate to Browse > Activity > Workouts
  3. Delete duplicate entries manually
  4. In Iridium settings, disable "Write workouts to Health" temporarily

iCloud Sync

Data Not Syncing Between Devices

If your data isn't appearing on your other devices:

  1. Verify you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices
  2. Check Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Iridium is ON
  3. Ensure you have available iCloud storage

Sync Conflict Errors

When you see "Sync Conflict" messages:

  1. The app will show conflicting versions
  2. Choose which version to keep
  3. The other version is saved to a backup

Resetting iCloud Sync

As a last resort, you can reset the sync:

  1. Go to Settings > Data > iCloud Sync
  2. Tap Reset Sync State
  3. Choose to upload local data or download cloud data
  4. Wait for the full sync to complete

Apple Watch Sync

Watch App Not Updating

If your Watch app shows outdated information:

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone
  2. Scroll to Iridium and tap it
  3. Toggle Show App on Apple Watch OFF then ON
  4. Force quit Iridium on both devices and reopen

Workout Not Transferring from Watch

Workouts logged on Watch should sync automatically. If they don't:

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone
  2. Keep the Watch app open briefly after completing workout
  3. Check that both devices are on the same WiFi network

Watch Complications Not Updating

Complications refresh periodically. To force an update:

  1. Open Iridium on your Watch
  2. Data will sync and complications update within minutes

Common Error Messages

This usually indicates a network issue:

  • Check WiFi or cellular connection
  • Try toggling Airplane Mode on/off
  • Verify Iridium isn't blocked by any VPN or firewall

Server-side issue. Wait 15-30 minutes and retry:
