Understanding Readiness Scores
Brief explanation of what each metric means
Readiness scores help Iridium adjust workout intensity based on your body's recovery status. The overall readiness score (0-100) combines multiple health metrics.
Key Metrics
HRV (Heart Rate Variability) - Measures your nervous system recovery. Higher values indicate better recovery. The app compares your current HRV to your baseline.
Resting Heart Rate - Lower is generally better. Elevated RHR can indicate fatigue or stress.
Sleep - Tracks duration and quality. Optimal sleep (8+ hours) supports better recovery and performance.
Muscle Recovery - Calculates recovery status for each muscle group based on training volume and time since last workout. Shows which muscles are ready for training.
Training Load (ACWR) - Acute-to-chronic workload ratio measures if you're training too much relative to your recent average. Values above 1.3 indicate high injury risk.
Cycle Phase (Women) - For female users, menstrual cycle phase affects performance and recovery. The app adjusts recommendations based on your current phase.
How It's Used
The readiness score influences workout generation:
- High readiness (70+) - Suggests challenging workouts with higher volume
- Moderate readiness (50-70) - Balanced workouts with moderate intensity
- Low readiness (below 50) - Lighter workouts, active recovery, or rest days
The app automatically syncs health data from Apple Health when available, or you can manually input values.
