AI Workout Generation

Brief explanation of how the AI creates personalized workouts and what factors it considers

Iridium's AI generates personalized workouts by analyzing multiple factors to create optimal training sessions tailored to your current state and goals.

How It Works

The AI first creates the workout structure with exercise blocks (warmup, main movements, accessories, finishers), considering your muscle group focus, workout duration, and recovery status. Then it generates specific sets, reps, and weights for each exercise based on your previous performance, current readiness, and progression goals.

Key Factors

The AI considers:

  • Gym Equipment - Only suggests exercises available at your selected gym
  • Recovery Metrics - Adjusts volume and intensity based on HRV, sleep, muscle recovery, and training load
  • Training History - Avoids overtraining specific muscles and suggests progressive overload
  • Muscle Group Focus - Prioritizes exercises targeting your selected muscle groups
  • Workout Duration - Adjusts exercise count and volume to fit your available time
  • Cycle Phase (Women) - Modifies intensity and exercise selection based on menstrual cycle phase

Previous Set Tracking

Each exercise shows a "Prev." indicator displaying your last performance for that specific exercise, set number, and set type. This helps you gauge progression and maintain consistency. The app automatically finds and displays your previous performance for matching exercises.

RPE Integration

Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) tracking allows you to rate how hard each set felt. This data helps the AI understand your true effort levels and adjust future recommendations accordingly. RPE data contributes to progress analysis and helps identify when you're ready for progression.
